andrea dreyfuss, MD/MPH
Dr. Andrea Rivas Dreyfuss is Global Health Ultrasound Director and faculty for the Emergency Department at Highland Hospital, and serves as ACEP Ambassador to Peru. Her international work is focused throughout Latin America, where she created the first emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship in her native country of Peru. Her scholarly work includes publications on triage systems in low-resource settings, ultrasound-guided procedures and international emergency education. Dr. Dreyfuss received her MD from Stanford School of Medicine, an MPH from the University of California at Berkeley and did her residency and ultrasound fellowship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. She is the co-founder of Ondas de Latino America, an organization focused on providing point of care ultrasound education in Latin America.
David Martin, MD
Dr. David Martin is the Associate Global Health Ultrasound Director and faculty for the Emergency Department at Highland Hospital and serves as the ACEP Deputy Ambassador to Peru and Mexico. His scholarly and international work focus on ultrasound education in Latin America where he recently helped establish the first point-of-care ultrasound fellowship in Lima, Peru. Dr. Martin graduated from Columbia University and completed his residency and ultrasound fellowship at Highland Hospital. He is the co-founder of Ondas de Latinoamérica, an organization focused on providing point of care ultrasound education in Latin America.

arun nagdev, md
After starting the PoCUS fellowship at Brown University, Dr. Nagdev came back to Highland General Hospital to run the PoCUS division for the past 10 years. Along with publishing more than 80 peer reviewed journals and 15 book chapters on PoCUS, Dr. Nagdev is currently President of the PoCUS section of American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). He has taught ultrasound both nationally and internationally for the past 15 years.
Dan mantuani, Md/mph
Daniel Mantuani is the ultrasound fellowship director of emergency medicine at Highland Hospital, Oakland, CA. He has trained physicians nationally and abroad in Africa and S. America. His interests include ultrasound education, resuscitation, and regional anesthesia.
Jocelyn freeman-garrick, md
Dr. Freeman Garrick was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley and attended medical school at the University of Southern California. She trained in Emergency Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency Program in New York, serving as chief resident during her final year in 2001. She is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who, after completing her residency, obtained a Masters in Science in Epidemiology from Cornell University. Dr. Freeman Garrick is currently an attending physician at Alameda County Medical Center- Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
