HOSPITAL NACIONAL DOS DE MAYO

Tertiary care urban academic public hospital that serves a population of approximately 7 million people in Lima, Peru. The hospital is affiliated with the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and has had an emergency medicine residency training program since 2001. The hospital was founded in 1538 and is one of the oldest in Latin America.

 

HOSPITAL NACIONAL ARZOBISPO LOAYZA

This is the largest public hospital in Peru and prides itself on serving the uninsured. The current hospital was founded in 1924 and is reference center within the public health care system in Peru. The hospital is affiliated with the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and with the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and also is home to an emergency medicine residency training program.

CUSCO, PERU

HOSPITAL NACIONAL ADOLFO GUEVARA VELASCO

Tertiary care hospital that serves a population of approximately 500,000 in the Andean Highlands. The hospital is affiliated with the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco and with the Universidad Andina del Cusco. The hospital recently established the first emergency medicine residency training program in Cusco in 2020 with the help of one our fellowship graduates.


Iquitos, Peru

Hospital Regional de Loreto - Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias

Tertiary care academic public hospital that serves a population of approximately 1 million people in the Amazonian rainforest and is the reference center within the public health system in the Amazon region. The hospital is affiliated with the Universidad Nacional de la Amazona Peruana has had an emergency medicine residency training program since 2015.

 

Hospital III Iquitos ES Salud

Reference hospital for the Amazonian region for the EsSalud insurance group. The emergency department has an approximate volume of 100,000 patients per year.
